3D comedy Show

Kedibone makes history with first 3D comedy Show

Seasoned comedian, Kedibone Mulaudzi is set to make history as he becomes the first ever comedian in South Africa to stage a comedy show in 3D. The iconic Mulaudzi will be hosting the never seen before show – Underrated at the Soweto Theatre on November 11 and 12.

Mulaudzi show will be breaking ground with his show because unlike other 1 dimensional shows whereby a comedian gets to go up on stage and make jokes, Underrated will have the other 2 dimensional elements which includes sounds and visuals of what the comedian jokes about. Mulaudzi says that the show will also be showcasing his prime talent and unlike all other show he has done in the past this one will be a special one as it will be heart-felt stand-up comedy show.

Previously Mulauzi has been attached with the title of being regarded as an underrated comedian despite all the years he has put in to develop up-coming comedians. All the success he has had like staging the biggest shows like the International Soweto Comedy Festival, performing for South Africa’s 3 states presidents, two Comedy Central special, Comedy Central Roast, Soweto Comedy Fest International Tour, His UK London perfomrnace at The South Bank Centre, the title eludes him and with the show he plans to assassinate the deed for good.

“I will be telling stories or talking about things people know and they want to talk about but they can’t because they are not supposed to. It will be dirty work for the public. I will also be handing out advice on how people can laugh without actually going to a comedy show,” he said

Underrated will be a memorable show, no other comedian in the world has done a 3D show and the production of the show will be memorable, it will live within those who have attended the show in their hearts for years to come. The show can be best described as quality comedy and a fountain of what people must come and taste.

Unlike a decade ago, the South African Comedy industry has reached new heights and with his show Mulaudzi aims to take the bar higher. According to him, in 2003, black communities did not have clubs and they had to perform in white communities. He says that forced them to write white jokes to make the communities laugh because they were performing with them. “If you didn’t do that or did smart humor you wouldn’t get even one laughter. So as a black comedian you had to choose to get laughs or go on stage and die doing comedy as we know it today and most of us chose the latter because we were comedians and comedians made people laugh,” he said.

Underrated will be staged at the Soweto Theatre on 11 and 12 November, tickets are priced from R120. The show starts at 20:00 pm
