So you have seen the music videos, heard the unique melody of the songs, and supported the message of lyrical activism that PS the ReBels has brought to the world. Now, PS the ReBels will be releasing their highly anticipated album "The Great Migration" on Tuesday Malcolm X Day May 19, 2015. We will be teaming up with Pharoahe Monch's W.A.R. Media LLC for the digital release of the new album. PS The Rebels, Pihon and SamUiLL, will unveil their new AfroHop project “The Great Migration”, a seamless collection of Hip-Hop-styled and African influenced music. The album is comprised of songs directly related to international cultural, political, and social issues, which evokes awareness and a call-to-action response from its listeners. PS The Rebels is musically, artistically, and creatively incomparable with their own inventive sound and messages. The mixture of indigenous instruments, African drumbeats, 808s and the compelling and effective lyrical content makes “The Great Migration EP” a project long overdue and highly anticipated. PS The ReBels educates its audience with its positive, forward, and liberating approach and continues to be highly effective in the hip-hop culture and surrounding communities. Recently, PS the ReBels where invited to New York City through iStandard Producers J Hatch to perform and got with G-Unit A&R Tony G about 50 Cents initiative to feed 1 billion Africans by 2016. PS the ReBels are supporters of this campaign in address the worlds growing problems through smart and sustainable business models just like 50 Cent has done with his SMS Headphones and Street Kingz energy drink.
PS the ReBels where also recently invited out to El Centro College in Dallas Texas. It was for the Hip-Hop Festival by Too Fresh Productions and Hip-Hop 101 courses to perform and speak to the students as well as audience members about Hip-Hop, Culture, Fashion, Art, and where we as a collective culture go from here.
